Reflections On 2022

It’s been an exciting and productive year for me in 2022. I’m grateful for the opportunity to intern at Launch Comms and learn from the Managing Director, Modiri Mogende, who became my first mentor. I gained hands-on experience in digital marketing, research and insights, and customer relations.

I also had the chance to enroll in the Futuremakers program at Young Africa Botswana (now Mebala Youth Studios) and learn entrepreneurship skills. Through this program, I developed valuable skills such as pitching, business model and value proposition canvas creation, branding, public speaking and more. I even had the opportunity to host two networking sessions, one on WordPress and one on mental health awareness, and was awarded certificates of appreciation for both.

In addition to my professional development, I also excelled academically, earning two Dean’s List Awards at Botho University for my second and third semesters with a GPA of 3.50/4.00 and 3.67/4.00, respectively.

I also had the opportunity to work on some exciting projects this year. My magazine, Africa’s Very Own Magazine , had over 10,000 users on our website, and I designed five websites, including re-designing the SPORTSNATION BW Magazine website and developing and designing websites for Launch. Comms, Berry Kiss, The Fields Mall, and the Human Resources Professional’s Society- Botswana

I want to take this opportunity to thank and appreciate the people who have contributed to my professional growth and personal development this year, including Patience Taolo, Russell Aobakwe, Kesego Kelatlhegile, Jelena Mitrovic, Maartin Weers, Mythri (“My3”) Sambasivan-George (FCCA, FCPA, CGMA-ACMA) , Audrey Simbiso Chidawanyika, MBA , Phatsimo MosimanegapeAchumanila January, my lectures at Botho University, Kagiso RantshaMoffat Kootlhoboge, AHRPOpedi Manase CHRPTiny MorupisiGaone Maswabi MCBI (Chartered Banker) MBAPhatsimo Letty O’Niel-KgetseGoitseone KlinckPalesa MorailaneRipfumelo Constacia ChavaniNeo Jasmine Mokgosi and many more I may have not mentioned.

Overall, it’s been a great year and I have a lot to be grateful for. Here’s to an even more successful and fulfilling year in 2023!
